About Bryan
Bryan R. Johnson, a partner in the firm of Campagna Johnson Mady, P.C., has previously served as the President of the Suffolk County Matrimonial Bar Association. He has successfully tried a myriad of divorce and family law matters throughout Long Island and the New York Metropolitan area, gaining favorable results for his clients and a high level of client satisfaction.
Bryan is a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers ("AAML"), the foremost family law professional organization of the most trusted leaders in Family Law in the United States. He currently serves on the Board of Managers of the New York chapter of the AAML, and serves as a committee member of the Budget and Finance committee and the Law Practice Management and Technology committee on the National level.
Bryan also currently acts as an Appellate Administrative Judge for the Town of Huntington's Administrative Adjudication Bureau.
During his career, Bryan has also been recognized for a high degree of professional achievement and peer recognition in the industry by Thomson Reuters’ Super Lawyers publication and rating system. He has also been recognized as a Top 10 Family Law Attorney by Attorneys and Practice Magazine. He has been recognized for excellence in Family Law by the Association of American Trial Lawyers as well as the Lawyers of Distinction publication and designated a Top Attorney of North America by the Who’s Who Directories.
Bryan has devoted his practice to litigation and honing his skills, earning a reputation for persuasively arguing even the most complex divorces in court. His litigation experience has also fostered favorable results for his clients at the negotiating table. He is admitted to practice law in the state of New York, 2007, Connecticut, 2008, the U.S. District Court Eastern, Southern District of New York, 2011.
Bryan began his legal career at Merrill Lynch as an Assistant Vice President, 2006-2009, gaining experience drafting and negotiating complicated debt trading contracts. His experience in the financial industry has provided him a unique perspective in helping to resolve a wide range of financial issues faced by his clients in divorce matters. He later honed his skills working for private clients as an Associate Attorney as a partner in a law firm, where he focused on representing clients in divorce and family law matters, involving all issues from custody disputes to high net-worth matters involving issues of corporate valuations and complex assets. He also has prior experience representing clients in criminal and corporate matters in the State and Federal Courts.
Bryan graduated from SUNY Stony Brook with a B. S., cum laude, in Business Management, where he acted as a Student Ambassador for the school, was appointed to the interim student government to manage student activity funding for the school and was an officer in the National Honor Society. He received his J.D. from St. John’s University School of Law where he was a Member of the Moot Court Honor Society (2006).
Bryan has acted as a member of the Board of Directors of the Suffolk County Matrimonial Bar Association since 2011. He has also previously served as an officer of the Suffolk County Matrimonial Bar Association for four consecutive years holding office as the President, Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary of the Association. He is also a member of the New York State Bar Association and the Suffolk County Bar Association.
Bryan has been a guest speaker before the Suffolk County Academy of Law for the Suffolk County Bar Association’s continuing legal education classes, lecturing on divorce and family law issues and has been published in the Suffolk Lawyer, a newspaper issued by the Suffolk County Bar Association.
