Marital Agreements

If you are planning on getting married, and have assets to protect, it is often a good idea to consider a pre-nuptial agreement. If you are married and come across a large gift or inheritance from your family, or decide that you want to identify your separate assets to be maintained during marriage, a post-nuptial agreement can achieve this goal. Divorce or Separation

Thanks to the Supreme Court of the United States of America recognizing the constitutional equal rights of same sex couples to marry, States are now required to recognize same sex marriages. Since same sex marriage is now the law of the land, same sex divorce cases must adhere to the same rules and regulations that govern every other divorce in New York.
